Can I use Wisephone II without a Techless service plan?
Wisephone II is designed to operate exclusively with the Techless service.
Will the Techless plan take the place of my existing carrier plan?
Yes, the Techless plan will take the place of your existing service plan.
Note: If you plan to keep your phone number, please don't cancel your current plan until you have successfully transferred your number over.
What carrier network is being used for the Techless Plans?
Service will operate on the 4G LTE network, powered by one of the three major carriers(excluding Verizon) and managed by Techless. Though we can't disclose the specific carrier due to contractual agreements, our aim is to ensure reliable calling, texting, and Maps services.
You can review our coverage map and compare it with your current carrier's coverage for any differences.
Does each phone require a Techless service plan?
Yes, each phone will need a Techless plan. However, multiple plans can be managed from one account.
Do we pay off your current plans remaining balance?
We do not. You are responsible for any remaining balances on your existing service plans.
Do the monthly plans include phone payments?
The monthly plans do not include phone payments. You will need to purchase your phone upfront.
Is there a family plan if I buy more than one phone?
Not at the moment, however, family plans are being considered for future offerings.
Does the plan come with a new phone number?
Yes, you will have the option to generate a new phone number with the area code being determined by the service address you use when you sign up. You can also port your existing phone number over to our service.
Can I bring my current phone number over to a Techless service plan?
Yes! As part of the sign-up process, there will be a simple way to port your phone number from your current carrier.
Note: Keep your service active with your current provider until the number transfer is complete, as only active phone numbers can be ported between carriers. Detailed steps will be provided at the appropriate time.
Can I use my own service with your phones?
We are considering providing support for other carriers in the near future.
How and when do I set up my plan?
When you receive your phone, there will be an activation flyer with steps. The process will take place in the Techless service dashboard.
Can I change to a different plan down the road?
If you start out on a plan and decide to change later on, then you certainly can - there are no contracts involved.
How much data comes with the Minimal plan?
Our Minimal plan comes with 1GB of data. 500MB of data is sufficient for the essential Tools, which includes Maps.
Does the Minimalist plan include sufficient data for using Maps?
Yes! You will have plenty of data for normal Map use. If you plan to use Maps more frequently, like all day for a job, then upgrading to the Healthy plan might be the better option.
Can I call or text internationally?
Unfortunately, we do not currently offer international calling and texting on Techless Service, though we hope to provide this feature in the future. Attempting to call or text an international number will likely result in immediate failure.
Why do you need data if theres no internet browser?
Your phone will utilize data for several functions, including Updates, Maps, and sending MMS messages. Even though there's no internet browser, these features still require data usage to function effectively. Additionally, approved third-party apps will use data too.
Why do some plans have more data?
The Healthy & Pro plans offer extra data to support the introduction of the new and upcoming Techless Tool Drawer apps, as well as the Mobile Hotspot feature.
Can I still use the Mobile hotspot on the Minimal or Healthy plan?
At this time, the mobile hotspot feature will only be available for those who choose the Pro Plan at setup.
Are Techless service plans available outside of the United States?
Though we want to expand to international markets, we are not there yet. Techless service plans and phones are only available within the United States for now.
Will these plans work with Wisephone I?
At this time, Techless plans are only available with Wisephone II.
Let us know if that is something you would be interested in, and perhaps in the future the plans may support Wisephone I.
